God is all powerful. He holds his enemies in derision. The attempts of the wicked to annihilate what God has established are laughable to the Lord. We are subject to many trials and tribulations, but we serve a laughing God. Jesus we lift up your name. We are battling a lie, the oldest lie, that we can determine right from wrong and good from evil. Amidst a generation that cries ‘we know what’s best for ourselves and how dare you say otherwise’ remember that we have the unique privilege of approaching the throne of a God who laughs. He will move. He will deliver. He will save. This is a time for us to receive a burden for the lost and a power from the Lord that we have never known. God laughs warmly at His children, beckoning them gently to follow His ways. God laughs defiantly in the face of the wicked. God is not mocked. Pray like you’ve never prayed before! These are pivotal times. Treasure the truth that God has called you for this moment. Will you be one who allows God to put ten thousand to flight through you? Will you give all the glory to the Lord? Will you worship Jesus regardless of the circumstances? Will you weep before the Lord? Will you rise in the strength of the Holy Spirit? Will you approach the throne of a laughing God?

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
“Yet I have [e]set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

“I will declare the [g]decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
