Jesus is looking for us to return to unity. The unity desired by God is not total conformity to appearances or institutional structures, but instead a unity in following Christ, making Him the Lord of our lives, and abounding in love for our brothers and sisters. Are we displaying the power, authority, and love of God in our lives, or are we simply putting up with one another. We must be committed to unity and the way that it is established in the scriptures. Far too often we encounter internal discord that is unnecessary or against the tenets of the Word. Lord give us the eyes we need to see who you are calling us to be in this generation!
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
