Welcome back to The Amateur Society for another conversation about decision theory! In this episode, the group examines the psychological bias of anchoring and how it impacts our ability to make decisions. We often discuss how worldview ultimately informs our decisions, but along the way there are all sorts of cognitive biases that have a tendency to trip us up. While it is never going to be possible to extricate ourselves entirely from all of these biases, having a better understanding of them does provide some defense. Most importantly, this knowledge challenges us to think more seriously about our decision making and our worldviews. Thanks again for joining us on The Amateur Society!
