The disciples asked Jesus many things during the course of His ministry, but as He drew close to the cross He told them that they hadn’t asking for anything in His name. He instructed them – and us – to ask in His name so that they would receive and their joy would be full. Despite the questions that often arise regarding delays in answers to prayer, when we are following the leading of the Holy Spirit to seek first the Kingdom of God there will be joyful answers from the Lord even if we don’t fully understand them. The life of a Christian is hard. That is a scriptural promise. This journey to joy is paved with trials, but we must continue to seek, to ask, and to press in. Pray boldly in this hour and know that Jesus has won the victory for us. May God bless you and give you joy!
Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
